Shotgun Range

 

The Sporting Clays Range is open 7 days a week during regular range hours. We now have an electronic card reader system in place so shooters will have to check in at the Activity Center office to get an activation card. Office hours are 8:00 - 4:00. Cards can be purchased. Occasional or one time users can check out a card with their drivers license. Checked out cards must be returned to the office prior to 4:00 o'clock. Please continue to sign in on the clipboard near station #1.

We have two practice stations with automated, token operated Shotgun Stands located just past our 5-Stand Combo Field.  Shooters can purchase tokens at the Activity Center that will allow 25 birds - plus 2 more included in case of breakage. You can throw 1 or 2 birds at a time and we have Range Safety Officers available to answer any questions.  Tokens are $5 for Members and $7 for Non-Members.

         We do our best to keep the range operational at all times but if you are traveling from long distance or would like more information, we still recommend calling ahead to make sure the range is open. 480-984-3724.

Hey Shotgunners,

 We are doing our best to make our Multiuse Shotgun Facility Fun For Everyone.  The following is the schedule of events for the next three months.  Remember now, we need to be little flexible from time to time so we may make some changes as we go along.  I know we can’t make everyone happy all the time, but we are trying to.

Sporting Clays is open 7 AM every day EXCEPT when the “Range” is closed and those few days when we have Special Events like Registered Shoots etc.

Monday & Tuesday - 7AM -5PM Wobble Trap
Tuesday Night - 5-9PM Games & Pieces
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday - 7AM-5PM 16 yd Trap
Wednesday Night – 1st Wednesday of each month is reserved for Women on Target Shotgun (WOT)
All other Wednesdays 5-9PM Sub Gage Trap…Practice & Leagues (TBA)
Thursday Night – 5-9PM 5-Stand practice & Leagues (TBA)
Friday Nights – 1st & 3rd Fridays each month SCTP
Saturday Night Black Powder 5-Stand – Oct 10 & TBA

We are going o have a “Quail Walk” and possibly another “Fast & Furious Dove Shoot” and a “Thanksgiving Turkey Shoot”.  We will let you know as soon as we get them scheduled.  Remember I am not too bright, so cut me some slack.  “Thanks” to everyone who comes out and shoots on Rio’s beautiful Facility.  I take all your suggestions under advisement though some are a little too personal and physically impossible.
